User Registration Scatter Plot

As part of our on-going statistical analysis of the game, we've been making some graphs of different in-game metrics. This interactive graph shows user registrations as distributed across the entire duration of the game. You can see the storm of registrations during the first few weeks, which gradually decreased to a steady drizzle for the remainder of the game.

Left to right, the major divisions break the whole game by week; Pre-Registration, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. Within each week, the minor divisions break up by day; Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Notice the green shaded regions, which are included to show portions of Fridays that belong to the next or previous week (due to our 8pm cut-off times). Within each day, time progresses vertically from 12:00.00 am to 11:59.59 pm (with some overlap). To get the most out of the space at hand, the "width" of a day spans a two minute time period (kind of confusing, play with the mouse and observe how the time changes and you should pick it right up ;-). Thus, when all is said and done, one pixel on the graph represents 10 seconds of time within the game.
