Picture the Paper People

Our newspaper-reading couple from the Flash interface have come to life, and are inhabiting various locations around the city this week!

On Saturday morning from 9-11 they'll be at the starting point of this week's SCVNGR hunt. (They may also go for a walk along the SCVNGR route Saturday afternoon, weather permitting. No promises there, though!)

On Sunday afternoon from 2-4pm, they're going to settle in with a nice cup of coffee and their Sunday paper at Java Wally's coffee shop in the RIT Wallace Library.

Monday through Thursday, they'll be sitting in the lobby of the Democrat & Chronicle during regular business hours (7:30am to 5:00pm).

Once you find them, take a picture of them--and yourself or a friend--reading the paper. Feel free to include other people in the picture.

Four winning images will be selected by a panel of judges from the photo staff of the Democrat and Chronicle, according to the following criteria: originality, technical excellence, composition, overall impact, artistic merit and the creative incorporation of the "paper people" in the image.

Images should be saved in JPEG format, and should be approximately 4"x6" at 300 dpi. Only one photo submission is allowed per user. Photos should be submitted no later than Thursday at 8pm, using the photo upload utility on the submissions page.

All participants will receive 250 points for submitting a photo that meets the requirements listed. Winners will also receive a Kodak ESP 7 printer, and two tickets to the Halloween Gala.
