I don't believe that the rules say anything about extra points for winning these competitions. So basically if a tangible prize is involved, no points are involved.

There will be four (4) winners for each of the 7 weekly contests. Week 1: (4) winners of one each Kodak S730 Digital Picture Frame (ARV: $139.95).

You'll receive an achievement worth 250 points just for submitting a completed Photosynth image. Our photography staff will judge the submissions, and the top six winners of the competition will receive an additional 250-point achievement, as well as this week's prize of a Kodak digital picture frame (we inaccurately listed the video camera as the prize earlier this week), and two tickets to the Halloween Gala.

Nuts on the extra points. Even 5 points for every weekly challenge winner would add a little extra fun.

I asked Liz Lawley/mamamusings about this during the food tasting, and first she said there were no extra points or achievements, but if it was written in the instructions they would "have to do it". Tazwalker is also asking about it in the forums: http://picturetheimpossible.com/forums/support/2561 I'll ask again if there is no response (after the game-gods have had a chance to recover from the scvngr hunt and food tasting).

Great job with or without the bonuses! I would imagine since it was written that there will be bonus points that there will be, however that's up to the professor's digression :)
