Individual Videos?
October 24, 2009 - 4:19pm
The challenge for individual videos about PTI, due Tuesday evening, is worth 250 points per person, and I'd love to get those points for our team, but would need help. For starters, I have no video camera (or at least, my Kodak EasyShare C310 makes a video of sorts but it had no sound when I tried to play it back on my computer.) If there are other Trees in the same boat, could we get together to work on this? With at least one person who has a video camera and knows how to load videos onto YouTube? If people are interested, Monday afternoon or evening would be the best time for me.

I would like to add that beautymama did a great job with her One True Media slide show. I really like her video. And she said it was very easy to set up and be creative with. I watched her make it and I am impressed by the program for making things like this. It has a link to upload to YouTube right from your account on One True Media! How simple!

I found the Windows Live Movie Maker to be easy and fun as well...

It's also possible to make a video from a series of still images...software like Windows Live Movie Maker and iMovie have options to do this, as do a number of photo management packages (like iPhoto), and even programs like PowerPoint can save to a movie format.
There are also some free and easy-to-use web-based tools, like http://onetruemedia.com/, which make it super-easy to create a video from a series of pictures, and add music and captions. They also have a simple interface for posting to YouTube.
