Week 7 Challenge

The challenges are posted! We need to coordinate to ensure we get every item on the wish list for the extra $1000. Gamecube and PS2 games are inexpensive. I would be happy to deliver items if there are trees unable to got to RIT on Wednesday. Please post what you buy so any gaps can be filled:

****Important***
I have created two new discussion topics on Facebook for this challenge.
The topic "Team Challenge" is for claiming the item you will be bringing in. ***Only reply with the item and quantity here.***
The second Topic "Questions/Comments: Team Challenge" Is specifically for just that.
This should help keep the challenge organized, and will be easier to look at the "Team Challenge" thread and see what items have yet to be claimed.
Thanks!

I do not think we should limit ourselves to the count on the charity list. Of course, we need to make sure we cover all the items. I encourage every Tree to participate in donating what they can. Let's show them the generosity of the Trees!
I'll get a PS2 game and a couple of other odds and ends.
Sorry, I do not have Facebook.

I agree we shouldn't feel limited by the numbers on the list. We have lots of players, so why not tory to double or even tripple the numbers suggested? But we need to make sure that we have at least the minimum items on the list...

I did get a PS2 game, and my husband (jmink) got a Game Cube game.
The other thing is, there's no limit on other donations, either, so if you have anything on the Foodlink or Wilson Park wishlists, defintely add that to the bounty.

I'm well over the amount of debit I should have at this point in the academic quarter, so I swung by Sol's at RIT. Not really geared for children, but I did manage to find decks of cards and fat markers. Bought three packs of each. I know we've got that part covered, but I wanted to help out, and I'd have to go off campus to buy matchbox cars. I think that's the only thing we need now.

I'm looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!
Here's what our contact from Golisano told us today:
"Our Child Life program director will be representing the hospital tomorrow night at the item drop off at RIT. Her name is Wendy Lane and she's the one who helped us put together the list. The Child Life program and its staff tend to the developmental needs of our patients and families, which much of the time means making sure they still feel like kids despite the reason they're here. Which is why these items are so wonderful. "
