Week 5 OMG Gear

Same problem here, got the first two fairly easily, but the OMG one Froze, then kept glitching back and forth, would not reset. I just x'd out of the page and came back, but it did it again, will try again tomorrow. Micci

OMG gears: I somehow did something that got the MIDDLE gear (the key black one) spinning really fast. Is that a bug, or is that supposed to happen? At first, most of my gears were too slow. Now they're too fast.

And now the gear puzzle just froze up altogether - after I had 2 ka-chings. Bummer!

ebecca - I'm assuming that the black gear going too fast is a bug, but either way it happened to me too - you aren't alone!

Like I said, reminiscient of the Week 1 puzzles before they got pulled. When the black gear goes into "ka-ching" mode early, not much you can do but reset. On the brightside, you know what you have to do for 2 of the ka-chings so it is faster the 2nd time around. ;o)

ARGH!!! I can't tell you how many times I have managed to freeze this puzzle today. Everytime I am close to solving it but just needing to tweek the sizes a tiny bit to get it exact, the entire puzzle freezes up and there is nothing I can do to get gears spinning again.

Same Problems today. At the rate of problems we are seeing with this one, it is doubtful that some of us will finish it by 8, I am just glad that I got the other two ok. Micci

I finally got it, but it certainly wasn't fun. I knew I had the right configuration, I just kept freezing the entire thing so nothing would spin no matter what I did. (and no, I didn't have any gears jamming other gears!)

I never did get the OMG gears. Everything would freeze and I would have to leave the site and then come back in. WHen I did, the balck gear was moving in the opposite direction that it was when it locked up on me.

I had the same issues... I tried several times before 8, but the whole screen either froze (and subsequently crashed my browser) or the black gear would suddenly change speeds and everything I had right would now be the wrong speed. This game has definitely been the most annoying... the adjustments are way too sensitive and the gears can be hard to place. All in all, not the cleanest programming of all the games. But it is a fun game when it works!

I'm surprised you guys have had so many problems, I've never had an issue with the gears and today it only took about 15 min to finish all 3 levels. Are you seeing the 10.08.12:20 version that was mentioned in another thread?

will it help to clear cookies when the Week 5 OMG goes haywire?

If you have an older PC like I do, the newer version might not show up, even if you do that, I did that and nothing happened. Oh well, I just do the best I can
