Are you in the Southwest section of town? Did you get close to a solve on the Saturday newspaper, but have no idea what the rest should be? Did you see the item, over in News & Updates? Are you a little fFrustrated in not getting to solve it yourself?
I have an assist fFor you!!
Click here to see the missing letters.
I will tell you right now: You do not *need* the letters. If you are especially smart, you might be able to fFigure it out (I did). Think of historical people of local interest.
Cheers!

Bought the paper here is Greece and we figured it out on our own! I feel bad for everyone else who was looking forward to the puzzle and couldn't do it...it isn't about getting 'free' points, it's about the game!
Glad I searched the paper before reading the forums this morning!!

Hadn't had a chance to get my paper yet and was very disappointed with everyone across the board receiving points, would rather get NO POINTS and that they just RESET the code in another days paper, like Mondays, I wanted to see how well or badly I did, NOT just get points, (BIG SIGH), yeah, I know, fairness is a really good thing, but now all the casual players who really dont care about this game will get points they havent EARNED and that top 150 is getting more difficult as it is.

Apparently I was one of the lucky ones with the right paper. Got the answer before I saw there was an issue

Personally, I agree. I would prefer to not see the sweeping global-non-solve. I would much rather see a retroactive hint given in Sunday's paper to help those that need it. I would much rather see The Community of Us stick together and help people get their solves. I would so much prefer we all show the PTI game-masters just how brilliant and resourceful we all are, and we all can be, without any crutches.
I appreciate their honesty. I really do. That means a lot. That said: Discovering the solve is what really matters. Working it out. Playing with the material at hand. Coming up with brilliant solves. That's what I cherish.
They should never fFeel like they need to give away an answer. If there's a problem, let us know, sure. But that simply becomes part of the challenge, and that's all the more fFun.

To qualify my answer, I am glad to see the extra points for The Forge, we can use the boost, but, am not jazzed with the way they came, HOWEVER, the winners here are the Charities and that is the MAIN thing, Good for us all!
Went down and got the paper from my neighbor, yes, it does not have complete codes and with Scott's help, THANKS Scott,I too figured it out.

Scott,
Thank you for only giving me the missing letters!!
I had found the clues but it did not make sense... and what I had was not being accepted as a codeword

I got my paper from the East Ave Wegman's, and it was correct.

(I should say, I don't know what areas of town got the broke puzzle. I'm in the southwest, and it probably is broken elsewhere.)
