web site broken on Chrome
September 21, 2009 - 9:43am
When I try to load http://picturetheimpossible.com I get the error:
This webpage has a redirect loop.
The webpage at http://www.facebook.com/logout.php?app_key=052637adceb1ab087c4aa7896ee25... has resulted in too many redirects.
Works fine on Firefox.

I had the same problem on Safari 3.2.1; I've switched to Firefox which works fine.

Interesting, I have the problem in Firefox, but not in Chrome!

Yeah, I ran into this this morning too. I'll take a look.

I logged out and back in to facebook, and restarted the browser, and now it seems to work again. Should be a fun bug to track down :-)

When I try to hook up to Facebook in FF in the edit mode of my PTI account, it appears to make the link just fine. But when I then try to log back into my PTI account, it just runs through and infinite loop of trying to connect to PTI and FB and cannot connect to either. This prevents me to getting to PTI page to do anything...
This doesn't correct itself until I log back into Facebook, delete the PTI application and refresh everything.
In IE, when I get the "Connect with Facebook" popup and I input my FB username and password, I get this cookie message: Cookies Required
Cookies are not enabled on your browser. Please adjust this in your security preferences before continuing.
Now of course, I have cookies enabled so I don't know why I'm getting this message.
I won't be able to earn these points until this somehow gets fixed or we figure out a workaround.
I hope I've provided the developers with enough data to diagnose. And I'm here on campus should you want to come over to see this all play out!!!

That error seems to be related to FAcebook integration; it happens for me occasionally on Firefox, as well. Still trying to figure it out.
If you log into and out of Facebook on Chrome, quit the browser, and then try again, it may fix the problem.
