Grill codes

Got the wordsearch and the three grills done but could not get the system to accept the codes (based on battleship layout A1 in upper left corner?). Clearly doing something wrong; missed today's 8P deadline

Thank You for that simple and much needed advice, wish someone had said that to clarify much sooner in the day, it would have saved alot of people alot of confusion over complex numbers and other things that did not help, just muddied the waters. We appreciate all and any help, but as in the KISS way, LESS IS MORE! Some of us are out of practice with this and need the "for dummies" version! LOL ;-) Micci
To get the final code, you don't use a battleship type entry, you go back to those positions on the original word search grid and use those letters. They should spell a word related to the theme of the puzzle!
