problems loading coffee crawl piccys
September 19, 2009 - 10:43pm
has anyone else tried loading pics tonight? i admit that we neglected to change the quality setting on the camera so our files are rediculously large but i have been trying to send the files through for ~ 2 hours now and still get problem messages back from scvngr saying that the phone # is in the subject but pics are not coming through. i know that i am not exceeding their 10MB size limit (anymore)
anybody else having problems?

We've contacted tech support at SCVNGR and asked them to look into this.

Hi all,
Just in case anyone else is having any trouble, when you send in a photo just use the 10 digits of your cell # as the title of the e-mail. i.e. 5253331111
Also, if the total message's file-size is above your own e-mail server's limit (usually around 10mb) then the photos never make it out. Try sending them in a few batches, or shrinking the photos.
That's worked for me. I hope this helps!

When I sent mine in, I sent in the pics associated with each area as a seperate e-mail (5 e-mails total)and they went through fine. Only hope that the receivers at the other end make sure to open all 5 emails (all labelled the same with my phone number, BTW) to find all the pics involved.

They're received by an automated system, that then loads them into an interface that we can use to "grade" them. So if you sent five, there shouldn't be any reason that all five won't be reviewed.

I uploaded the pictures yesterday with a subject line: xxxxxxx 1/15, xxxxxxx 2/15 ...
Didn't use a 10 digit phone number (just 7) and added the "x of 15" too.
Do I need to repost?

The subject line should be *only* your ten-digit phone number.
Please contact me directly with your team code and pilot's cell phone number before resubmitting, and I can check to see if we received the images. (Use the "contact this user" link below my photo.)
Thanks!

I assume the subject line is not important if the pics are sent via MMS from the pilot's phone. Correct?

Correct.

Yeah we had the same problem, will have to try again tomorrow.
