What am I missing?

I am confident I have completed the puzzle correctly and have tried various submissions of what I think is the key phrase explained in the clues--namely the answer to 26 down, 36 down, 20 across and 5 down--keep getting an error. Where am I going wrong?

I checked the logs, and it appears that you did enter the correct code. I awarded you the achievement. Sorry for the confusion, and enjoy the rest of the game.

Only one of these is the correct one to submit. Read the clues carefully to determine which is correct.

I did the puzzle properly on Sunday, typed in the answer, got an achievement, and now when I click on "newspaper puzzles" it says I have not completed it? It wont let me enter the code twice!! Did I miss something? Shouldn't those empty boxes turn green if I did something?
Please help!!

Yes, they should. We'll check into it. In the meantime, if the achievement shows up in your profile there's no reason to worry.

If you were awarded your achievement points, then everything is fine, I have the same thing, my boxes dont show completion either, but that brings up another question. In case of ties, will the most completed puzzles count more in points in the end?
If so, then I would like those boxes to be GREEN! LOL Micci

If you notice, in the lower corner on those newspaper and local challenges pages, some text reads "*completion information for puzzles on this page may not be up-to-date."
That's my clever little way of saying, "I know this is a problem, and I'm working on it, but in the meantime we'll just have to make due with this limited functionality." ;-)
So long as the achievements are showing up in your profile, you're getting your points. Don't worry! Look for little green boxes sometime next week.
If you're desperate for little green boxes - check out the ones on the Online Games page (assuming you've done your web puzzles) they work just fine! :-D

Hey Joe, you and the rest of the crew are doing a FABULOUS job!!! Do we sound like wieners, uh, I mean whiners?? LOL. A lttle brevity always helps in these kind of situations, we are learning right along with all of you! I know my way around now and am really enjoying the whole thing. Kudos to all the teams working on this for us!
I am wondering the same thing, glad I'm not alone. :)
