Three more questions ...

1. Does the scavenger hunt pilot have to text from the same phone number she/he entered upon registering at picturetheimpossible.com ?

I read the Week 4 scavenger instruction pdf file, and it seems to me that this is the case; how else will the PTI score-keepers know, for example, that I'm really me?

I tried to edit my profile's phone number to switch it from my land line to my cell phone, but there seems to be no place to do that.

2. Do I have to send the photo from the email account I used to register at picturetheimpossible.com, or can I send it from a different email account, with my registered email address in the body of my email?

3. Are Weeks 1, 2 and 3's scavenger hunts still active, so that if we did them in Weeks 4, 5, 6 or 7, we would achieve points?

When you start the scavenger hunt, do it from whatever phone you want to use as the pilot. It does not have to be the phone number you registered with. The hunt will send you back a team code which you will enter here at PTI when you have completed the hunt. You can even switch phones in the middle of the hunt if your battery is running low, etc. by sending the pilot command and your team code from another phone. If you aren't sending your picture from the phone you were using as pilot then you need to be sure that the 10 digit phone number of the pilot phone is in the subject of the email. Again, it doesn't matter which account it comes from.

Up to 5 people can be on the same scavenger hunt team - they would each enter the team code individually upon completion. Only one photo needs to be submitted per team.

I don't know the answer about the old hunts. That's one for someone on PTI staff to answer. (I haven't seen anyplace that says there are reduced points available for doing them after the fact though.)

No, the old hunts are not still playable. (The SCVNGR platform isn't free, and our agreement with them is for the games to be playable only for the week they're active.)

We are considering creating printable versions of the hunts so that people who simply want to explore other areas can do so.

Please do create printable versions of the hunts after the game is over. These are wonderful ways to get to know Rochester. I've talked to a number of people who were delighted with their Rochester discoveries: "I never knew Rochester had THAT."
