I can bring an extra video camera, if anybody has a memory card, 2 GB or smaller only. I will be at the forge meet.

Hillrunner, try downloading the current version of Windows Live Movie Maker, http://download.live.com/moviemaker?wa=wsignin1.0 , which has a built-in feature to upload to YouTube.

I see the Windows Live Movie Maker is not available for Winows XP. Alas, I have Windows XP - my computer is 8 years old.
When they say "challenge," they really mean it!

Try OneTrueMedia: http://www.onetruemedia.com/
It's an online service that allows you to create a video from your own images, add stock music, and your own text captions, and post it to YouTube.
Should work with an older computer, as long as you have the current version of Flash installed.

my camera saved the video as a .mov file. Moviemaker won't load it, will the onetruemedia?

Yes, OneTrueMedia will load it.
There are also a number of shareware and freeware tools out there that will convert a .mov file into a .wmv or .avi file for use with the XP-compatible versions of MovieMaker. (If you're running Vista or Win7, you can download the most recent version of Windows Live Movie Maker, and it can work with .mov files.)

oog, I wish I had checked here sooner - or had more time. When you all see my video, you'll wish that I had too.
My question is in regard to the directions on the Making The Impossible Possible page "... When your video is complete, please upload it to YouTube. Then post the URL to the PTI site (#ptiweek7) no later than Tuesday at 8 p.m."
I've figured how to upload to YouTube. It's the 'post the URL to the PTI site (#ptiweek7)' part that's baffling me.
I looked in the General Forum and this forum for a place where everyone is posting their URLs, with no luck. Where are we to post our URLs?
And what does the #ptiweek7 thing mean? How does it relate to posting the URL?
Should we add a tag to the movie or use PTI or some such thing in the title to make our movies easier to find? Or does this not matter?

Don't worry about tagging the video. We had wanted people to add "ptiweek7" as a tag for their videos, but it's not necessary.
The YouTube URL should be submitted on the submission page, http://picturetheimpossible.com/submit-code-0, in the URL tab. Select the "Making the Impossible Possible"

I've uploaded my video, a first for me. I couldn't resist a little spoof of the weekly video quizzes, altho I relented a tad and added a title to the beginning.
Watched it and wished that one of the weekly prizes was a computer with lots of speed and memory so I could win it and edit videos. Doesn't have to be new.

Can we do another meet up especially for the video? I made something on windows moviemaker, but it is not uploading correctly to youtube so it looks like I just wasted my time doing that and need to have another try...and "take 2"
